Return to Rovers on the cards for Hume
The Canadian international, who fractured his skull in a game against Sheffield United two years ago, has dropped down the pecking order at Oakwell and been put up for sale.
Tranmere manager Les Parry is looking for a striker to replace Iain Thomas-Moore who has rejected a new deal and is keen to join his father Ronnie at Rotherham United.

Hide AdHume, 26, started his career at Prenton Park a decade ago and joined Barnsley in a 1.2m deal from Leicester City in July, 2008. He has scored only nine goals in 55 appearances for the Tykes, however, and has not started this season.
Parry has criticised Millers manager Moore for going public on Thomas-Moore’s contract situation.
“The fact that Iain is his son is the only reason why we are not hauling Rotherham before the Football League because what’s going on is totally unacceptable,” said Parry.
