Hide AdManager Nigel Worthington is publicly sticking to his mantra that getting to 51 points and safety remains the priority for his players.
However, with each passing week, York are looking more and more likely to gatecrash the play-offs.
Ahead of tonight’s return to Field Mill, where the Yorkshire club booked their place at the Conference play-off final two years ago, Worthington said: “We have to keep doing the right things and keep working hard.
“That is what the players have done since I arrived and the results are starting to show that.”
