Hull City

Hull attacker Benjamin Tetteh is edging closer to a return to the action. Hull Live report he returned to training on Christmas Eve and is expected to be back mid-January all going well. The Ghana international has played eight games since his summer switch from Yeni Malatyaspor.

Liam Rosenior still wants his side to play out from the back despite that approach continuing to gift goals to opponents. He has told the club website: “I want to play out from the back – it’s giving us control in games – but we have to recognise the time when it’s right to do so and when it’s right to not.

“If a team goes man to man on you, it means there’s space at the top end of the pitch. Even today, at times we mixed it up. We made a poor decision to play out, played ourselves into trouble and gifted a team a lead which wasn’t deserved at that point of the game.”

Huddersfield Town

As per a report by the Harrogate Advertiser, Danny Grant has returned to Huddersfield Town for rehabilitation with his hamstring injury. The winger is currently on loan at Harrogate Town and should return to the League Two side in the next 10 days.

The Terriers’ boss Mark Fotheringham has said he left winger Sorba Thomas out against Preston to keep him fresh for upcoming games. He told Yorkshire Live: “As I’ve said, we utilise our squad and we’ve got a lot of games coming up when we’re trying to bring a freshness.

“In the coming weeks, we’ve got a lot of games to play and I’m sure that Sorba will be involved. There’s no situation with him. Everybody that’s in the squad is going to be needed.”
