“For a young team I thought they put in an incredibly mature performance.”
Kane said England had gone into the game with a positive attitude.
“We knew we could beat them. We played well at Wembley (when Spain won 2-1) and came out of the blocks firing. I thought we defended well and soaked up the pressure.”

He said: “It was a beautiful feeling. I put a lot of pressure on myself to get into the box and try to score goals.
“Sometimes it works for you, sometimes it doesn’t, but I’m in the position to score goals and I need to keep that going.”
