York Minster to auction off pieces of its medieval stonework - and you can bid for them online
York Minster has organised an auction of historic brickwork that was removed from the building during recent conservation work.

Ten pieces of stone which formed an 18th century pinnacle are among the highlights - and it is the first year the public have been able to place their bids online.
If you want to take a look at any of the lots before they go under the hammer, previews are available this weekend in Dean's Park, next to Old Palace.
Money raised from the auction will be used to fund ongoing conservation work at the cathedral.
