Man admits causing death of Jasmyn Chan in Sheffield road smash

A MAN has admitted killing Sheffield teenager Jasmyn Chan who died after she was injured in a hit and run road smash.

The guilty plea was entered this morning at Sheffield Crown Court by Naseeb Ellahi, aged 33, of Ash Road, Birmingham and formerly of Sheffield.

Jasmyn, aged 14, died following a collision on Normanton Hill, Intake, at around 9.20pm on Friday, May 9.

She was killed after pushing a friend out of the way of the oncoming car. The other girl was also injured in the incident.

Naseeb Ellahi admitted causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene and failing to report.
