Huge blaze guts restored Guiseley manor
A total of 12 fire engines from across the county were called to the incident, which is believed to have started about 1am today.
Crews could not enter the building but had to tackle the fire from the outside. They were hampered by a lack of water in the area.

Hide AdA fire service spokesman said the manor house was not occupied but had been under construction but said following the fire it was almost completely destroyed.
He said: “The original call-out came just after 1am but crews were still there this morning damping down. It was made a 12 pump incident because of the lack of water in the area. We used an aerial appliance to tackle the fire, some of the walls are falling down. About 90 per cent of the building was involved in the fire.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
As a result of the blaze, Carlton Lane in Guiseley is closed in both directions between the Cemetery Road junction and the Town Street junction.
