Temporary driving test centre to open
The driving centre, off Clough Road, shut last September after staff raised concerns about blasts from a car recycling plant next door, with learners having to travel to Beverley for their tests.
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency has accepted an offer from Hull Council to use the Craven Park Training and Enterprise Centre for car, taxis and motorbike tests from February 3.

Hide AdThe DVSA said they were still working with the Health and Safety Executive and the Environment Agency to find a solution.
DVSA chief executive Alastair Peoples said: “We want to provide the best possible service for all our candidates, and this includes making sure that people can take their test at a convenient location.
“We are very grateful for Hull City Council’s assistance in providing us with a temporary test centre in Hull.
“We continue to be committed to provide car and motorcycle tests in the city and hope to return to the permanent Hull test centre as soon as possible.”
