Hide AdA spokesman for Barnsley Council said: “The exhibition showcases the variety of art that happens every day in households around the Barnsley borough and the groups that meet to share their ideas and creativity.
“The groups involved come from all corners of the borough and they are largely made up of amateur artists and photographers who have joined for all kinds of reasons.
“Some want to develop and push their own skills, for others it is the exchange of ideas and techniques that inspires them.
“These creative threads and connections are brought together through this exhibition.
“It is hoped that they inspire people to get creative, or maybe join or start a new group themselves.”
Creative Connections will run at the Cooper Gallery from tomorrow until Saturday, March 17.
