Quartet opens Sunday concert series
Famed for their interpretation of the works of Beethoven, the quartet brings a Russian flavour to the first concert of the series, which starts at 11am on Sunday.
The programme includes the first of the composer's Op 59 quartets – known as the Razumovsky Quartets because they were commissioned by the Russian ambassador to Vienna. The Russian theme continues with Tchaikovsky's Third Quartet.
