Poachers arrested in crime crackdown
A rural crime crackdown in North Yorkshire has netted four suspected poachers.
North Yorkshire Police officers detained four men following a tip-off from a member of Selby district’s Ruralwatch scheme. It is believed they had killed a deer.
Two men aged 26, a man, 39, and another man, 46, all from the Middlesbrough area, were arrested and bailed on February 23.
