Photograph project launched to find 'winter sparkle' during lockdown in Bradford
The Sparkling Bradford winter campaign invites people to share their favourite local finds, from everything to a new park to their local takeaway cafe.
Organisers hope that that the project will inspire people to 'create some sparkle' this winter and allow people to enjoy what they have during difficult times.

Hide AdIan Ward, General Manager of The Broadway shopping centre & Bradford BID Chairman said: "Starting the year in lockdown hasn’t been easy but we know there will be people, places and businesses across the Bradford district that will be helping us get through it together. This campaign is an opportunity to share your best photos of those special discoveries.”
Councillor Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Healthy People and Places, said: "Whether it’s a green space you never knew existed at the bottom of your road, your new homeschooling workstation, a restaurant or shop that is offering online deliveries that have been a lifeline or helped lift your spirits – we’d love to see your photos of who or what is helping keep Bradford sparkling over these winter months.”
The best photos will be shared on a dedicated gallery on the SparklingBradford website, across the Visit Bradford and Sparkling Bradford social media platforms and also included in the brand-new Bradford and district Visitor Guide 2021.
To enter, head to the Visit Bradford Facebook, Twitter or Instagram page using #sparklingbradford with details about the photo.
The initiative is delivered by partners VisitBradford, The Broadway Bradford, Bradford Business improvement District (BID) and Bradford Council.
