Frank Worthington leaves an unforgettable legacy - The Yorkshire Post says
Tributes have been pouring in from the great and good of the game following the death at the age of 72 of the former Huddersfield, Leicester and Leeds striker who played in 22 consecutive seasons from the mid-1960s up until 1988.
One story that symbolises his stylish approach to life was when he received a late call-up by Sir Alf Ramsey for the England Under-23s squad in 1972. Worthington greeted the World Cup-winning manager for the first time at Warsaw airport dressed in a green velvet jacket, floral shirt, leather trousers and cowboy boots.
