Murder detectives appealing for whereabouts of two men
Sidney Cox, 57, died the day after a violent attack in which gang smashed their way into a single-storey property in Middleton Lane, Thorpe, on Saturday, August 24 at around 7.30pm.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are appealing for information to help them trace Michael Vallance Dear, 38, and Karl Gaskin, 40, in connection with the murder.

Hide AdMichael Dear is described as white, about 5ft 9in tall, of heavy build and with sandy coloured hair.
Karl Gaskin is described as white, about 5ft 11in tall, of medium build and with dark brown hair.
Police are urging members of the public not to approach the two men, who are believed to have links across the region.
Anyone with any information on either of the men’s current whereabouts is asked to call the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Hide AdPolice have arrested seven people in connection with the murder in which the gang arrived at the home in a vehicle and are believed to have rammed through the large wooden gates at the foot of the drive.
A 30-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder on September 4 has been bailed.
