Leeds murder victim died of single stab wound to chest, inquest told
Christopher Laskaris, 24, was reported missing to police by his mother on November 16 last year.
Wakefield Coroner’s Court was told yesterday that officers attended his home at St John’s Close, Hyde Park “in due course” and found Mr Laskaris on the living room floor “with bloodied clothing”.

Hide AdParamedics attended and he was confirmed dead at 2.57pm on November 17.
A preliminary post-mortem examination found the cause of death was a single stab wound to the chest.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Swift, West Yorkshire Police’s senior investigating officer in the case, confirmed two people were charged with murder in respect of his death. Philip Craig and Dempsey Pattison have appeared before Leeds Crown Court and have been remanded in custody ahead of a trial on May 8, the inquest heard.
Area coroner Jonathan Leech adjourned the inquest pending the outcome of criminal proceedings.

Hide AdPreviously, Mr Laskaris’ family has paid tribute to their “deeply loved son and brother” and said: “Losing him has broken our hearts and words cannot express our pain. His future has been tragically cut short.”
