Kiss of life and blow up nose save Bronk the Staffy
Bronk the 10-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier was lifeless when his owner, Dean Allen, hauled him clear of the water and onto the bank.
But Dean, 15, said he managed to bring his pet back to life by using skills learned at St John Ambulance first aid classes, including chest compressions and the kiss of life.

Hide AdDean said he was with a friend walking by the River Ryton near his home in Worksop when Bronk, jumped into the water.
He added: “I’ve been going to first aid classes since October, and I’ve learnt how to give CPR.
“This was the first time I have ever had to put it into practice.”
Dean’s mother Julie, 47, said: “At first I thought he was making the story up when he came home. I am just so proud of my son for what he has done.”
