Hunt for town centre sex attacker
The woman was being treated in hospital yesterday following the attack at about 10.55pm on Wednesday Queen Street in Ponefract.
She was approached from behind by a white man while on the lower section of Queen Street.

Hide AdShe was struck and dragged to the floor. She attracted the attention of a passing car, causing the suspect to flee. He is his late 30s to early 40s, 5ft 11 with short dark hair.
The victim was taken to hospital with head injuries which are not life threatening.
Detective Chief Inspector Jon Morgan said specially trained officers were working with the victim.
“Investigations are moving forwards and we are appealing for anyone who saw this offence or who saw someone matching the suspect’s description in the area shortly before 10.55pm to come forwards.
“Thankfully offences of this type are rare in Pontefract and I want to reassure residents everything is being done to investigate what took place.”
