The service is approaching businesses to advertise on its 40 appliances at a cost of 2,000 in large towns and cities and 1,000 in smaller market towns.
Extrication team manager Andy Young said their overalls could also be emblazoned with sponsors' names – although only of companies that work with the fire service.

Hide AdThe service said any company could advertise on appliances, and while it was preferable they tried to include a road safety message, it was not obligatory.
The money raised will help fund the service's extrication team which responds to emergency incidents where people are trapped.
