Woman in court over body of baby son
Angela Owen, 46, who now lives in Glastonbury, Somerset, was traced by police earlier this year after they received tip-offs following an appeal on the BBC’s Crimewatch programme.
Back in July 2006 officers found the boy’s body in a bin liner buried in the garden of the luxury house known as The Howroyd in Krumlin Road, Barkisland.

Hide AdDNA tests later proved that Owen was the child’s mother. She was charged with concealing the birth of the child and preventing a lawful burial together with further allegations of fraud.
She appeared before Judge Robert Bartfield at Bradford Crown Court yesterday when the progress of her case was discussed.
Following applications from prosecution and defence counsel Judge Bartfield agreed to adjourn the plea and case management hearing until September 25.
Owen is currently on bail subject to stringent conditions including an electronically-monitored curfew.
