Man and woman arrested on suspicion of murder after death in Rotherham

A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a man in Rotherham.

Police were called to a property on Redscope Crescent, at 7.40am on Wednesday October 25 following reports of a man that had obtained serious injuries.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and a murder investigation has been launched, police said.

A forensic post mortem examination and formal identification are yet to take place.

A 43-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

They both remain in police custody, police confirmed.

Redscope Crescent has been closed whilst officers conduct their work.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information which may assist police is asked to pass it on via the South Yorkshire Police new online live chat or their online portal or by calling 101.
