Chance of a night out with stars
The event organised with the Campaign to Protect Rural England, aims to evaluate the impact of light pollution on views of the stars.

Hide AdThe brightest star in the night sky, Sirius (the Dog Star) rises low above St. Michael’s Tower on Glastonbury Tor with the constellation of Orion, centre, and the star clusters of Hyades, above right, and Pleiades, very top further right, clearly visible.
The society and CPRE are asking for people to count the stars within the constellation of Orion.
