2. Magpie Cafe
Plenty of people said Magpie Cafe deserves to be named as one of the best chippys in the country. Kerry Connolly said: "I'm local and I always go to The Magpie." The National Geographic reviewer said "It’s hard to find fault with The Magpie, and, while the fish and chips are naturally first rate, they’re actually a small part of an extensive menu".
3. The Royal Fisheries
David Beevers recommended The Royal Fisheries. Replying to David, John P Hall said: "You know don't you. The locals buy there." The Royal Fisheries is located on Baxtergate.
4. Trenchers
Lots of people said Trenchers, in New Quay Road, is the best by far, including Carmen Stockdale, Diane Preston and Kate Wylie. Janette Bolder said: "Trenchers is the best by far, better food, better price plus the friendliest staff".
