Xpertise in training
IT training firm Xpertise Group says the acquisition of a rival training company will make it the second largest in the UK.
Leeds-based Xpertise bought Parity Training for £4.8m in a deal announced to the stock market yesterday.
The group also announced a placing of 3.25m shares to raise £2.28m and a new £2.25m debt facility. The enlarged group will have a turnover of more than £40m, with space for about 700 delegates in 65 classrooms and centres in London, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, the Thames Valley and the Midlands.
Chairman Richard Last with chief executive Ian Johnson, said: "The enlarged group will have a substantial blue chip customer base, strong balance sheet, negligible net debt and good cash generation.
"The combination of the Xpertise and Parity Training businesses will put the enlarged group in an excellent position to service our current and future customers and meet their IT and professional skills training needs."
