LEP offers £2,000 SME apprentice grants
Small and medium-sized businesses in West Yorkshire can apply for an Apprenticeship Grant for Employers (AGE) to support firms looking to recruit trainees aged between 16 and 24.
LEP chairman Roger Marsh said a survey of 3,000 businesses in the region showed firms want to take on apprentices to grow and retain skills.

Hide AdHe said: “Supporting businesses to offer these career opportunities is part of the LEP’s overall ambition to create a strong future workforce and create more and better jobs for our young people.”
Businesses that take on an apprentice through local training providers between August 1 to December 31 2015 can apply for funding.
