Former Riverside Fox in Ripponden to reopen as The Swan Tavern this summer creating 20 new jobs

Freehold pub company Concept Taverns is creating 20 new jobs with the launch of the twelfth venue in its rapidly expanding portfolio.

The firm is poised to open The Swan Tavern in Ripponden, West Yorkshire, this summer after investing £740,000 in renovating the space formerly occupied by the Riverside Fox.

The launch comes as the company promotes Victoria Hatton to managing director. She joined Concept Taverns in 2021 as operations manager and is one of a small handful of female bar group directors in Yorkshire.

Ms Hatton said: "I hope my position opens the door for more women to land similar positions in the industry. The Swan Tavern is a fantastic venue and the building itself has a rich history in the local area.”
